School Service Personnel Certificate

New rules implemented by the Illinois State Board of Education effective July 2008 state that all persons using their type 73 School Service Personnel certificate are required to complete professional development activities. For further details on the requirements and options for meeting professional development activities please click the following link http://www.isbe.state.il.us/certification/html/school_service.htm.

Please do the following to renew your certificate:

1. Enter all professional development activities electronically through the Educator Certification System (ECS).
2. Check back periodically through ECS as to when your Statement of Assurance has been approved. Once your Statement of Assurance has been approved, please do one of the following options:

Option One

1. Go to ECS and click on Register Certificates and follow the step-by-step procedures.
2. You will need a credit card to pay the registration fees online.

Option Two

1. Complete Form ISBE 73-10 Certificate Registration Form (please sign in both designated areas and answer all yes/no questions).
2. Remit $25 personal check, money order, or certified check made payable to ROE 17.
