Clean Start

ROE # 17 is the entity that provides educational services to students in residential treatment for substance abuse at Chestnut Health Systems in Bloomington through the Clean Start Program.

Clean Start is for students who are school-aged and working towards their traditional high school diplomas.  ROE # 17 provides licensed teachers, individualized and differentiated instruction with an effort to encourage a renewed interest in education.  All students served by ROE # 17 are evaluated to determine their academic needs and staff work closely with the student's homeschool to support each student's success.

ROE # 17 also provides, through private funding, adult education services to students aged 17 and older at Chestnut.

During the 2015-2016 School Year the total number of students served at Clean Start was 110.  The average number of days students received educational services through Clean Start was 19.
